Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: What defines a «new» hotel in this list?
A: This selection features properties that officially opened or completed construction between 2025 and 2026. We also include hotels marked with «(renovation)» if they underwent a full-scale transformation of their guest rooms. To ensure a truly «fresh» experience for our readers, properties that only updated public areas (like lobbies or pools) without fully renovating their accommodations are excluded.

Q: Are these Bali hotels currently accepting reservations?

A: The majority of the properties listed are already fully operational and taking guests. For upcoming hotels, booking systems usually go live 4 to 6 months before the grand opening. We recommend checking the «Opening Date» column for each hotel’s specific status. Please note that properties labeled as «Opening Soon» are not yet available for booking.

Q: Which area of Bali has the most new hotel openings?

A: Ubud is currently the primary hotspot for growth, with approximately 50 new hotels opening their doors between 2025 and 2026. Uluwatu ranks second with over 20 new properties in 2025, followed by Canggu with 15 openings during the same timeframe. Note: These figures specifically track establishments positioned as hotels; independent villas, guesthouses, and hostels are not included in these statistics.

Q: What types of hotels open most frequently in Bali?

A: In the last two years, the most common newcomers have been 3-star and 4-star hotels from local Indonesian hospitality brands, accounting for 45 out of every 100 openings in 2025. However, major international chains like Marriott, Hilton, and Meliá continue to expand their presence on the island with flagship resorts every year. For the latest updates on upcoming properties, please refer to our «Opening Soon» section.

Q: Are there any new beachfront resorts or hotels on the first coastline in Bali?

A: Yes, there are several newly opened seaside hotels across Bali. The highest concentration of beachfront properties is in Uluwatu, followed by Canggu and Nusa Dua. You can easily find these options in the tables on this page: look for the beach icon (🏖️) next to the hotel name. This symbol indicates that the property is located directly on the first line or is no more than a 5-minute walk from the shore.
